Maston Fiberglass Putty is a fiberglass-reinforced plastic filler designed for repairing holes and cracks in fiberglass structures. It is suitable for fiberglass (GFK/GRP), polyester fillers, acrylic and epoxy primers, provided the surfaces are in good condition. It can also be applied over well-sanded 2K primers. Additionally, it is suitable for repairing metal surfaces and can be used on bare or zinc-coated steel and aluminum after proper smoothing and degreasing. NOTE: Do not apply the filler directly onto 1K primers. Key Features: • Excellent adhesion to metal • Superior mechanical strength and flexibility • Short curing time • Good sanding properties Instructions for Use: 1. Sand the surface thoroughly. 2. Clean the surface of grease and dirt. 3. Mix 2% hardener thoroughly into the filler. 4. Mix only as much as you can use within 4–7 minutes 5. Apply a layer (maximum 5 mm) and allow it to dry. If needed, apply additional layers, ensuring each layer is fully dry before the next application. 6. After curing, perform dry sanding: • Coarse sanding: P80–P120 sandpaper • Finishing sanding: P120–P320 sandpaper 7. Store the filler in a tightly sealed container, in a cool place, protected from sunlight. Additional Information: • Drying time: 20–30 min at 20°C (Lower temperatures will considerably extend the drying time.) • IR drying process is not recommended. • Surface Treatment After Filling: 2K polyester fillers and putty • Excessive hardener may affect the final paint color shade. Safety Precautions: When working with 2K products, it is recommended to use protective equipment: • Wear safety goggles, gloves, and a respirator. • Ensure good ventilation in the working area. • Clean tools immediately after use. • Always follow the manufacturer’s safety instructions.
