The transformation of the community has been very satisfactorily brought out in this book. A rare book published in 1998 which covers experiences of the Lubanas. The Lubanas are one of five sub-divisions of the Banjaras. They played an important role in the history of the Punjab in general and that of the Sikhs in particular. Many Lubanas like Shah Mansukh, Saundhe Shah, Baba Dalipa, Baba Makhan Shah, Lakhi Shah, Nadhu shah and Sant Prem Singh rendered valuable services to Sikhism. They always showed a keen sense of devotion and dedication to Sikhism and actively participated in the battles fought by Guru Gobind Singh, Banda Bahadur and Maharaja Ranjit Singh.
