This makes it ideal for environments where vehicles are subjected to sharp manoeuvres, steep inclines or high braking forces. The product’s durability is reinforced by its AAV rating. AAV measures the material’s ability to resist surface wear, with values close to 1 indicating extremely high abrasion resistance. At 1.7, this coarse-grade bauxite demonstrates exceptional toughness, ensuring the aggregate retains its texture and reduces degradation over time. Its larger particle size combined with these strong mechanical properties makes it particularly effective for aggressive anti-slip systems, external surfacing and areas exposed to intense vehicular loading.
